Crawford

I went to Hulu today to check out their debate center, and apparently the site had a world premire of a documentary on Crawford, President Bush’s adopted town. The documentary is compromised solely of interviews with the town’s residents and does an excellent job of showing the issues from their perspective.

Some Highlights:

  • Students who see the President as using Crawford to bill himself as a cowboy (that iconic shed and famr equipment backdrop for newscasts is behind the high school)
  • Pro-war resident states CNN is a bunch of Communists, and Bill O’Reilly or Sean Hannity  tell the truth
  • The local coffee shop owner calling all Iraqis terrorists and saying if we weren’t there they’d be here
  • A town ruled by religion that sees anything outside of their views as unpatriotic and immoral.
  • A town that simply wants to be left alone and out of the media spot light and the novelty of having the president as their neighbor starting to annoy them.
